XanGo Wishmaker Parade takes place across the country on October 18th and 19th

September 30, 2008 @ 01:45PM

Pickering, ON, September 26, 2008 — The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada’s 4th annual, national XanGo Wishmaker Parade is happening in more than 100 communities across Canada on October 18 and 19, 2008.

The event is a national parade style walk.  Each year families, individuals, corporate and community groups raise funds, collected by pledges, to grant wishes for children and families affected by life threatening illnesses.  Last year, participants of the event raised $1.3 million, granting wishes for many children across Canada.

Communities are encouraged to get involved in their local parade this October.  You can either register as an individual or create a team.  Teams have a chance to win great prizes if they raise $50 or more.  Those who cannot join in the parade are encouraged to pledge an existing walker or team or make a general donation.

The 2008 XanGo Wishmaker Parade is sponsored by global nutrition leader XanGo, maker of the original premium whole mangosteen beverage XanGo™ Juice.

“This Parade brings thousands of people together in communities across Canada – not just for the fun and excitement of the day, but to help grant wishes to some extremely special children who live in many of these same communities. XanGo is very proud to be the title sponsor of the Wishmaker Parade, and looks forward to the contribution that our many Canadian distributors will make to help wishes come true!”

“My family and I went on a Disney Cruise in April; it gave me something to look forward to! It made me forget about the doctors, the medications and the hospital. Children’s Wish grants so many wishes everyday for many other kids just like me, it gives them hope, something to look forward to! I can’t say enough about the Children’s Wish Foundation … they are awesome!”
