TORONTO - Singer-songwriters Chantal Kreviazuk and Lily Frost will give special performances at a fundraising gala on September 10 in Toronto to celebrate the life and legacy of David Suzuki.
“Dr. Suzuki and his foundation have been an inspiration for me over the years,” says Kreviazuk, a musician and dedicated environmentalist. “I’m honoured to be performing for him that night and to celebrate all that he and his foundation have achieved.”

The gala takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel on Friday, September 10 in honour of the 20th anniversary of the David Suzuki Foundation, one of Canada’s leading environmental organizations.
Comedian Russell Peters and broadcaster George Stroumboulopoulos will act as co-hosts for a night that promises to be filled with laughs, music and tributes to Dr. Suzuki and the David Suzuki Foundation.
Gordon Lightfoot, Deborah Kara Unger, Stephen Lewis, Ed Begley Jr., Colin Mochrie, Debra McGrath, Andrew Ference, Melissa Auf der Maur and Adam Van Koeverden have also confirmed they will help toast Dr. Suzuki’s achievements that evening.
Celebrity Chef Susur Lee will serve up a specially prepared locavore menu featuring locally grown and organic foods.
TIFF is a proud supporter of the gala and has announced that Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie will have its world premiere at TIFF on September 11. The documentary is the first film about Dr. Suzuki’s life and is produced by Entertainment One in co-production with the National Film Board of Canada.
